Nice shots, it would be perfect if it was closer. By the way, what kind of lens do you use?

Hi Birdgirl, are you doing any cropping with your shots?

Hi Cameraman I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-50 with its zoom 35-420 mm + 1.7 x teleconversion lens. I can't get any closer than 5.5 m
Hi Tassie - I haven't done any cropping or manipulating of images - that is something I still have to learn. I like the way his head feathers are standing up in 2

Gidday Birdgirl,The cropping tool is a good one if you don't over do it.
When you upload to your host you should have an option of being able to edit your shot from there, the rest is pretty much self explanatory.
You will find that you can bring your shots in closer and enhance their colour, contrast and so forth.
I liked number 2 as well for the same reason.

Hi birdgirl, Tassie has given you a good tip. Cropping your picture appears to bring your subject closer and shows more detail. It's a very simple exercise and any basic editing program can do it for you. Some cameras come with a software program that have tools to enhance your pictures with.
