western sydney,
thousands of the buds have bean torn off the tree, most of the other b/bruhes in the street left alone.
lorikeets and sulphur crested cocky seem to be the culprits.

It's highly likely that somethink like sulphur crested cockatoos have been indulging in a spot of pruning, george. What have you seen?
it goes on from sun till sun down the main culprits are the lorikeets. the sulphur crested cockies were at it only for avery short time one day only, sorry Idon't have a camera.
At my place the Rosellas do the same, they pick out what they like, then drop the rest. Next time I see them, I will take some photos. It looks funny, they hold the whole flower in their foot, (left or right LOL), and just drop it.I do think it is like pruning, You might get even more flowers next year? At least that's my theory.
