This Laughing Kookaburra is my very first decent photo taken in Adelaide botanic gardens, from which all the obsession started :)
Australian Magpie trying to steel my lunch.
Magpie-lark looking for some snacks.
Wasn't sure should I put the next two photos or not. In one of the birding sites I read that they don't "tolerate" photos where the birds are captured at their nests, as this might disturb them. However, I wasn't crawling to their nests and frightening them. I was just walking in Adelaide's parklands and they were just there, waiting for me. So here they are.
Rainbow Lorikeet checking out what's going on.
Musk Lorikeet looking for a place to nest.

And finaly, Little Pied Cormorant. All this guy is missing is his bow tie :)
Great shots, Laurius!
I love the musk lorikeet, I haven't seen one of those before.

One more little fellow - Red-rumped parrot.
Laurius
You've got some really lovely sharp portraits.
I don't think just walking past and seeing them counts as disturbing them, and you would retreat if they looked stressed. From what I've seen, rainbow lorikeets know how to defend themselves. I've seen them taking on sulphur-crested cockatoos.
I just love the little Cormorant.Has a familiar look about him, LOL, like Lawyers walking around the Court! (the ones, that have their hair all standing up, because they think it's cool to put lots of gel on it! HaHa!)Also the look of, should I be arrogant, or frightened?
