I also like these King Parrots a great deal but I do find them kind of "dopey" birds or maybe they are just too curious for their own good. In my experience they are always sticking their beak where it may not belong. My plumber told me one even flew into his workshop while he was using an angle-grinder and just perched on the bench watching him - he had to persuade it quite firmly and lock the door to keep it out for its own good.
These are not a very good photos but as part of a US German Shepherd toy's travel around the world, I was taking photos at my house in Emerald and this female KP has to stick her beak into what I was doing.
As you can see she got quite close. Sorry for hijacking your thread M-L.
