Cape Barren Geese

Did anyone else watch Gourmet Farmer last night? I was so upset Cape Barren Geese was on the menu :( as well as Mutton Bird. Certainly not my choice for a meal.

Yes Cath and Shane, there is a lot of pain and suffering done to animals. Look at the Japanese Whaling Industry! You might also have seen the program about cat's and dog's fur beeing cut off, while they are still alive, and used to make all kinds of things, like boots.
Countless animals suffer for the benefit of humans(?). Investigate, and STAND UP for "Animal Rights", they need your help! Animals don't have a voice. YOU can" become their voice". So: SPEAK UP FOR THEM!!

There's also the Indonesians who relentlessly torture cows in their abbatoirs. Only the people with no hearts do this kind of thing and it will always be a big problem.

Cheers, Owen.

I didn't watch Gourmet Farmer but why am I not surprised to hear that Cape Barren geese were on the menu? Perhaps you're feeling a letter to the TV channel CEO coming on.
In our economic rationalist system anything can be exploited for a profit. What to do about it? The usual emails & phone calls to MPs & participating in groups like Getup, the Wilderness Society, Trees for Life & Aavaz are all helpful. Demonstrating your own values through preserving & re-establishing wildlife habitat is very useful because people do copy each other.
It's easy to become negative given the huge resources stacked against folk who care but it's important to keep hope alive. Go to it, folks!
