Hello everyone.
I've just found this forum so had to join.
I'm not what would be called an avid bird watcher(whatever that is) but I do like looking at and listening to birds.
I have a feeling I am going to learn heaps here.
It was seeing what I later found to be a barking owl that sent me here.
Now going to post the photos I took. (I'm not a photographer either)

Welcome Charles, there are a lot of knowlegeable people here - much moreso than me. You are very fortunate to have seen a barking owl or any owl for that matter. The closest I have been is at Melbourne Zoo but I have seen many Tawny Frogmouths so that counts for something I guess.
