Managed to get out for an afternoon walk through our local park and wetlands. I was greeted by these two.

Thanks for your comments. They are difficult to shoot but a recorded call will bring them closer. It's something I use with care to avoid distressing the birds. In this case the Spinebill was more curious than anything else.

Very nice George, I once had a pair of Spinebills nesting in my front yard in Toowoomba,I was not into birding then so I did not take a great deal of notice other than keep an eye on them.
Would love to have that oppurtunity again.

Very nice shooting George. In particular I admire the plumes of that eastern Spinebill.
