Nice picture, when ever it was taken. I used to have 23 chicks at one year, (and the next), all of them got eaten by a pair of hungry Wedge-tailed Eagles. Clever ducks didn't come back to breed the third year. I always wondered how those tiny chicks survive the fall from the tree, when they come out of the nest? Probabely because they are so fluffy and soft?
I love seeing these, especially with chicks. Seems a bit late in the season for such young chicks, doesn't it?

I've seen crows lined up waiting for a chick or two to break away from the pack. Hate crows.
