Had the pleasure of coming across these somewhat uncommon birds in the Mallee region of S.A. Found I could not get a clear shot in the thick scrub so tried a little experiment that worked nicely.
I scratched around in the sandy leaf litter in a more open area to imitate what the bird was doing in hope to get it's interest. After 5 minutes of this I stood back 15 feet with the camera and waited. It didn't take long before the Robin scurried over to my scratchings and started finding tidbits in the freshly turned earth. Gave me a good opportunity to rattle off several images at close range.

hmmmmm...better but still not right....it's tail is chopped off ?
Yep - images need to be a maximum of about 500 pixels wide to be seen fully in this forum.
Nice shot, by the way!

Woohoo, well done. I may have misled you on the size, though. As Timmo mentions, above, 500px max on the biggest side. Nice shot of a bird that I have yet to see.

Cheers for looking people, as you may of gathered I'm having some issue with uploading, part because of uploading too big and part because of Photobucket's really slow processing of size changing. Have been in contact with PB and they tell me it takes 6 hours or more before the changes to the resize option kicks in, it's actually more like over 24 hours.
I usually post 1024 or 800 pixel wide images, so to alter down to 500 pixel, and then back to 1024 pixels is quite tiresome and time consuming sadly. Must admit to being sad this forum will only accept such small file sizes, 500mm pixel wide doesn't give much detail.
Realistically I will have to change to imageshack or similar to post on here, which is a shame because i have a Photobucket Pro account and I'd prefer to use that for all images.
Lovely sharp shot. We all have trouble posting at first. I'll look forward to seeing more of your shots
