I apologise for the mess here, because i can not preview what i have done it wasnt until it was too late that i realised my mistake, so i apologise for that.
Can someone please ID this bird for me?
That is funny Birdgirl having to identify a noisy miner..... if you lived in Queensland you would certainly not have to ask.... they are everybody's pest! But they are very attractive to shoot as your shot shows. I think I read somewhere that you are a professional who has now got an interest in birds... do I have that right? Or I may be mixing you up with some one else.
I second Birdgirl2009's comments. Great detail in your shots. Just remember to resize to 500 if you want to avoid cropping the tail as in the kooka.
cheers
The reason I love going away on holidays is so I don't have to listen to the constatnt 'meep meep...' 24 hours a day.
Anyway, I love your photos the do show very good feather detail.
Hi Birdgirl2009, thanks for the comments. I use a canon EOS 50D and a small variety of lenses....not as many as i would like of course.
Hi Birdie, thanks for your comments too. I most certainly am not a professional. LOL I wish i was though. My husband and I love photography, and photograph a large variety of subjects including birds. I have always enjoyed photographing birds more than my husband who prefers to photograph reptiles, and i have grown up with birds in the house, however it wasnt until recently that i have really started getting into birds and taking my bird interest to the next level, watching them and identifying them. When my husband and I are out in the car, he gets first go at any reptiles we see and I get the birds!! I'm really enjoying the helpfulness of this site, and also really enjoying my newly learnt knowledge that i have gained from this site when im out in the field.
Here is a photo that my husband took while we were out on a drive recently in an area that has a lot of falcons and a few wedge tailed eagles.
Eastern bearded dragon.
What a great shot of the noisey miner, we took some photos of the juveniles a couple of weeks ago. I think they are a lovely bird even though i bit bossy at times. Love all the photos even though im not keen on Maggies but they photgraph beautifully.Keep it up we love looking at your posts

And here are the others.
First bird is a noisy miner. You have very good feather detail. What type of camera do you have? I like your other photos too
