Regent Bowerbird

Hi,

Just came back from O'Reilly's in Lamington National Park. I had a wonderfull time seeing lots of beautiful birds. My favourite bird of all was by far this guy. I was eating a biscuit when he flew down and rippd it out of my mouth. Cheeky!

Enjoy!

I am so jealous Qldbird. I have always wanted to go to O'Reilly's. I have birding friends who go there regularly for family hols. Was it a great place to stay and how long did you stay there for?
Love that shot!

Great photo. What a magnificent colour scheme that bird has. Hubby and I visited O'Reilly's many years ago and the parrots walked all over our heads.

That Regent Bowerbird is spectacular. I noticed Topknot Pigeon on ur list, and couldn't help being reminded of the time i was in Syd Olympic Park, with my bro and dad, and we saw a strange dove sitting in a tree. The conclusion we came to was that it was a young Topknot. THere had been huge winds the previous day, so we think it was probably blown there, as we saw another out-of-range bird (can't remember what it was)

don't forget to have a hoot!
