Try again.....went out with my husband yesterday and took these photos. One is a wood duck, and one is a spoonbill (i think) but im not sure what the bird of prey is, if anybody could help me i would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
It certainly is a Brown Falcon and what a great job he is doing for the environment. They're a great selection of shots that you've posted. Very sharp and well-exposed. Thanks for sharing.
Stunning shots. Your bird of prey looks a lot lighter than the brown falcons I have photographed around here but my books say it comes in 6 basic forms (colour combinations) with intergrades.
Also glad to see it is getting starlings - hope it likes Indian mynas too
Great photo of the yellow-billed spoonbill

And here is a black shouldered kite. We saw quite a few of these yesterday. If it is something else please feel free to correct me. Thanks.
Hi birdgirl,
Brilliant photos! The bird of prey is stunning - think he is a brown falcon. The starling didn't stand a chance!
I can't help with an ID but I do like you nice sharp photos.

Stunning shots birdgirl.... all of them. I think , (but am just learning with BOP) that it is a Pale version of the Brown falcon.
Well done on what looks like a great bird outing.
