Nice shots Ed, and I particularly like the Orb spider and the lovely exposure on the figbird. It can be hard to get it right with mixed lighting and hotspots that it creates.
what is it that the Koel is eating?

Lovely photos, just a quick question, are the figbirds always at the park? I remember earlier this year alot of them were at my Grandfather's place but they were only there for around 4 or 5 days before they moved on, it was the only time I've seen them. So just wondering if they're always so nomadic, love the frogmouth photos as well, always a delight to see and they're expressions are always classics :)

birdie, Koel is feeding on the fruit of what I think is a Sago Palm (Metroxylon sagu).
Amateur, no not always, Figbirds are very nomadic following fruiting trees, As you have observed they will be around until the fruit is gone and move on, maybe not to be seen in that area until the tree fruits again, how do they know...can't answer that one.

The koel looks good! :) I think fill flash would have helped with the ibis' eye. It just gets lost in the blackness. Good stuff mate. :)
