I had an unbelievable find today. I went to the model airfield with my husband because he said the whistling kites had been flying near his model. No birds showed up for ages, then one finally did. I got a few snaps then when I checked, I discovered it was a white-breasted sea eagle. My first sighting! Later 2 whistling kites showed up but stayed just too far away for a sharp shot. I also saw a friendly willy wagtail.
There is also a photo of a new Mr Rosella, who is hanging around our nesting box at the moment (for Tassie). Some years they do an Autumn nesting
