Since I hardly ever see anything interesting in my own postage stamp of a backyard, I'd thought I show you some photos from my mother-in-law's last Easter. She's in the Northern Mallee, and has the good luck to share a border with a common woodland, so she gets hosts of bird life.
Pied Butcherbird
Laughing Kookaburra
Crested Pigeon
Noisy Miner
Singing Honeyeater
Little Friarbird?
(Might be a blue-faced honeyeater, but I don't think there is enough blue there).
Eastern Yellow Robin?
(Not sure of this identification - can someone confirm?)
Nice ones mate, good variety. The two you are not sure about are a Little Friar bird and I am pretty sure the last one is a Yellow Rumped Thornbill.
Nice work Ringneck. Not sure if it's a Little Friarbird, but it's definately not a Blue-faced Honeyeater. And I agree with Tassie about the last one being a Thornbill.
Hi Ringneck, yes you have a nice bunch there and good shots. I agree with Tassie , definitely a little Friarbird. I should know it as each time I saw one while on holiday it sent me into a spin because of the blue colour around the eye and the yellowy tinge underneath etc. I looked iti up heaps of times before I got it into my head that it was a LFB !!! I seemed to see them everywhere up at Woodgate Beach.

Birdie, that is very funny. My mum keeps emailing me photos of birds for me to identify.
My response: "Mum, that's a Little Friarbird".
Next time: "Mum, that's a Little Friarbird, too."
Next time: "Mum, yes, even though there's a bluish-grey tinge on its face, it's a Little Friabird."
Next time: "Umm, mum, yes, despite the yellow wash, its'a Little Friarbird."
Next time: "MUM IT'S A LITTLE FRIARBIRD."
Ha ha ha......to funny Andy, sounds like our house.
Great shots Ringneck. Sounds like a a good range in the yard. Love the singing honeyeaters.
Cheers, Owen.
Nice set of shots. Would love to have these visiting my yard.

Great birds. I'd be visiting often, with my camera. The singing honeyeater is lovely
