Rufous Owl

3 close encounters with our local Rufous Owls over the passed 3 weekends have been magic and have allowed some great photo opportunities. These are the latest, still not totally sure the one-eyed bird is the female, any thoughts?

Taken in the Palmetum Botanic Gardens.

Lovely family shots Ed as usual ... I wonder if only having one eye affects its ability to hunt accurately?

Excellent find. I guess having one eye would stop it having binocular vision - I hope the partner helps out
