For a number of years these two King Parrots have, from time to time, been dropping in to visit. Such beautiful birds to look at but oh, so timid.

Yes Wanda, we are indeed very lucky to get these birds as visitors. Some, like the King Parrots we only see a few times a year, and others like short bill corellas and some long bills as well as butcher birds, maggies, butcher birds, cockies etc. we see daily. Got back into photography after a heart attack in 2007 and gotta say it has helped with my recovery therapy.

Thanks again Wanda, I have heaps of photos some of which I will post in the coming days - assuming my PC doesn't play up again like it did last week. I have an interesting pictorial story about a short bill corella we rehabbed and now is a regular visitor - will do it in the next day or two, getting late for me, all those heart tabs take their toll on me and anyway we are up early to tend our birds.....
Such a beautiful parrot - one of my favourite birds and great shots to compliment them Gilston.
