Superb lyre birds

Had these two lyre birds come in very close all the way around the house. They were chaising the bower birds and then the bower birds would chaise them very amusing to watch from inside. Some of these shots were taken from in the house so please excuse the quality.

That is out of this world. How I wish I was able to see it. Great photos.

Lucky you. But you could just image the damage the lyrebird would cause near its bower. Maybe they have meet before ? I have seen the whip bird looking and flicking in the bower , once spotted , it is attacked by the bowerbird.

See it!  Hear it!

No reason to excuse the quality Matt, great shots. How lucky you are to have them come so close to the house. Must be lovely to watch.

Well done Matt and how fortunate you are to have this spectacle on your doorstep. I have only ever seen the Alberts Lyrebird, so this is great.
