You're right Nahar it does look that way, luckily I have more pictures of the two of them from that day!
In this second photo you can see a lot of the plumed whistling ducks in the background that come to visit now and again.

They are certainly colourful birds. I hear them as they fly over where I live but they rarely stop here. Seems we don't have anything interesting enough for them. They do go next door though so sometimes I'll follow them over there.
