sadly the 2 brood was lost

Two days ago she was still feeding, but just like the last lot, the Magpies killed them. I have no idea why she is using the same nest again? But as you can see, she picks up new nesting material, and brings it to the same nest. (I had this thought, I want your opinon please. If I was to destroy the old nest, do you think she would go somewhere else to build a new one? But the Magpies would still find them, wouldn't they???)

Anyway she is renovating the old one now. Look what she has been picking up? Lots of dog hair, after I brushed my dog.

(the pics look fuzzy because of the fluffy hairwink)

honestlyl M-L,i wouldnt touch the nest or anything related to it

it's funny,my local wrens nest has vanished without a trace, not even a broken eggshell or some feathers around it - but i have noticed the female collecting spider web for a new nest

I think you are right Nathan, the birds should know what they are doing. The Magpies will find them anywhere they go. I just want them to have some young that make it.
