These 2 New Holland Honeyeaters were having a standoff on the bird bath when the larger L/H one kicked the smaller (juvenile ? ) one. I missed the shot, but I haven't seen these birds kick before.

On numerous occasions I've watched New Holland Honeyeater adults discouraging the dependent behaviour of juveniles once the juveniles are able to fend more for themselves. In my experience, many adult humans would do well to take note.
I like it Keefsmit. Would love to see these in our yard. "Australian Birds" indicates these are around Brisbane where we live so there is hope. Nice shot :)
