What a beautiful thing to do George.heart

I appreciate hearing that you enjoy looking at our photos, very much. Although it makes me very sad to hear that you are not feeling well, your post made me very happy. Only yesterday I was seriously contemplating not to post photos anymore, but just by writing this, you made me change my mind. Thanks so much George.yes

I know it won’t help you muchcrying, but keep on enjoying our photos. Tell me, what is your favourite bird? I will try to find it, and take some photos for you. (Not flying up to Darwin though)

Hi there George (waves from SE Qld).

Thanks for your comments.

Like Amarinta, I sometimes feel that I shouldn't be posting photos.

None of mine are of the quality that she and the others are able to produce.

Aren't there some absolutely fantastic photos on this website!

Then again, I'm just starting out with this stuff, so I guess eventually I'll get better.

Cheers

Chris

Amarinta, chris f     i like all native birds we have a bit of a problem with common myna, and at times common blake bird.

live near Penrith nsw.also a problem with emu's and roos coming out of the old A D I property many have escaped from the area set aside for them but Lend lease don,t seem to worry not nice seeing them on the side of the roads.

phone police and it is not a matter for us thank you for the call. a large portion was to be set aside for the native animals  and the rest housing.

Great to hear you're getting a buzz from the photos. Not that I post that many but I do my best.

I can tell you're worried about the traffic risk posed by & to the kangaroos & emus which have escaped from the area designated for them. Have you thought of sending an email to Lend Lease? Or to the local newspaper? Or even the Sydney Morning Herald? Or all three?

Perhaps this could be an opportunity for Lend Lease to burnish (rather than tarnish) their environmental credentials

I wonder what would happen if a politician hit a kangaroo or emu in his/her car.

That almost makes me laugh Woko.

Some years ago locals had tried to get a road out of Gembrook sealed. Every time it rained, we skidded like on ice. Nobody took any notice. I asked a Cardinia Councillor to come out, organised some neighbours to be there, and the local paper's photographer. It had been raining for days. We were all standing next to the road, the reporter with his camera, waiting for the guy from the council, when we heard a car coming down the road. The noise it made, was something like: zzzz-zzzz-zzz. We all jumped out of the way, when the car came skidding around the bend, very slowly, …and straight into the next tree, bang.crying

No, he wasn’t injured, the photographer took a photo, the councillor rang his wife to pick him up, he said something like: you don’t have to explain. We now have a nicely sealed road now.

You are on to something Wokodevil
