The friarbirds are cetainly not the nicest birds around. We have had the odd one or two in our neighbourhood but in the last few weeks there have been heaps of them, and I found where they are hanging out - we have some white ironbark gums which have come into flower and the large fights between the red wattle birds and the friarbirds are very interesting to watch. It seems that the wattle birds are winning as there are more of them than the friarbirds in the tree now.

Hehehe... I think Noisy Friarbirds kind of got the short end of the honeyeater stick. Last year I was staying on Stradbroke Island, and it was nesting season. The resort I was staying in was full of the darned noisy things!
