I spotted this little one outside my window this morning. I had a quick look through my books but couldn't spot it. Is it a young one perhaps?
I live in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria.

Maybe an escaped pet Domestic Canary, looks a little like a Common Greenfinch, but the colour is wrong, more yellow than greenish. They both have a forked tail as shown in your last photo.

Yep its a canary ,try to catch if you can they dont last long in the wild, probably a good thing.

My wife said canary but I thought what would she know? Oh that's right, her folks owned a pet shop at one stage.
