Spotted this little fella in the back yard, thought it may be a Fig Bird but not totally sure after looking at other images of Fig Birds on Google Images. The colours threw me as the other images had light pink to a bright red around the eyes.

Probablt one of the Honeyeaters, known as Banana Birds here in SE Qld.
Here's one on my bananas - Victoria Point LOL. We have both the Blue and Green faced honeyeaters around most of the year.
It looks like a juvenile Blue-faced Honeyeater, Dennis.

yes, juvenile Blue-faced Honeyeaters have olive-green faces; your field guide should show both ages
