I found this Ibis nest on a tiny island in a small pond at Shortland Brush park near the Georges River in sydney. Not much going on, all very quiet and serene , chicks mostly just sitting on the nest and occassionally trying flapping their wings.

I love the Ibis chicks. These ones are almost grown up.Were there more than the two nests in that tree? Sometimes you find huge constructions of nests, as Ibis tend to breed in large colonies.Looks as if there is only one family in your nest?

Hehe, they're quite cute!
Araminta - there were only two nests in the tree and there didnt appear to be any chicks in the other nest. In other ponds in that area there are larger colonies of ibis - the large colonies tend to make a bit of a stink though.
What a beautiful sight & setting - sure looks like a nice wingful of healthy chicks to keep the parents busy with. What a great find WhistlingDuck! Love all these shots!
