The Robin and the Lost Lizard

I happened to be out at Mt Glorious on the weekend (dodging rain drops), and I came across this yellow robin. As I was watching him/her, we both spotted a lizard scurrying through the leaf litter. Alas it had no luck finding it, but it was adorable to watch the search.

The look of resignation in the last picture gets me. laugh

Great sequence of shots .... looks very puzzled that he cant find that lizard!

That's funny, you wouldn't think a Yellow Robin would give up on a lizard. But sometimes even a bird has to accept defeat.

(male Yellow Robins are a much brighter yellow, while the girls have a more dirty look about themcrying . That's just how nature works sometimeswink)

Love the photosheart

Good to know. smiley Maybe nature knows that there will be people like us who appreciate birds in their all their shapes, colours and sizes. laugh

It probably spent a good couple of minutes looking. And then some noisy juvenile humans came along to disturb the whole thing. (grrrrr screaming kids in the rainforest... angry
