Back in 2010 I posted that I'd seen Double bar finches nesting in the lime tree in my backyard. Well, they're back and have a new nest that's only a couple of metres from the ground. They're very shy but we're pretty sure we've heard young twitterings from the nest recently.
It's been difficult to photograph them because they're so timid, but we know they're in there. I did manage to get some photos back in 2010 though.
