This photo of a Brown Goshawk was taken at Warriewood on a couple of acres of land. Unfortunately in the past year over 500 units have been built with many many more coming in the next few years. This was previously farmland and before that wetlands and bushland. I have recently discovered a location where you can see pheasant coucal ( very rare in the sydney area), brown quail ( also uncommon) and little eagles ( only present at one other location on the northern Beaches. Un fortunately the locations where I have discovered these species is likely to be filled up with hundreds more units or townhouses.

This photo make my heart cry, just looking at the magestic bird ,lost and sad in the urban jungle also makes me angry.
One day we will all have to pay for what we have done to nature. One day it will be us, sitting somewhere like this bird, no air to breath, no food to eat...... then it will be too late to bring back what we destroyed.

He looks like an adult who returns to their childhood street/town, and remembers the good times, and how things have changed for the worse.
Good to see him visit though.
Well at least some developer will be making his millions, shame about the rest of us and all the animals.
