Breakfast with a difference.

Spotting a Black Shouldered Kite on my way to work in the morning is not unusual. There are a pair that live around here and I see them all the time.

But I don't usually see seven blue faced Honeyeaters join one of them for breakfast.

 Late for work again.

First up there was just the one.

Go away! Get lost!

All alone again.

Great shots Reflex!

Kite doesn't look too happy about it allsmiley Any idea what the Kite was eating?

Awesome photos Reflex! :)

Always interesting to see different birds interacting with each other.

Were they hassling the kite, or just hanging out with it?

I don't think they were interested in the kite at all or what it was eating. They were going about their own business and it just happened to be in the way but I thought they might have been afraid/concerned about being on the menu?

No idea what the Kite was eating but you can see what looks like a tail hanging down in some of the photographs. The Sun wasn't helping. It was basically on my right.

Fascinating occurrence. The honey eaters seem very unconcerned about the kite. Great catch!
