Thankyou all, this is my 3rd year with them, they are very tollerant of me so i can get close, im getting quite attatched to them and great to see they are still in the same place. The 3rd bird is the young from last year, still part of the family and hasnt been chased off yet- im wondering how long they parent the young for, maybe the reason they didnt nest this year...?
their stack blew down this winter and i came to the decision that im going to resite a platform this summer for them to consider re building the stack, they obviously like the location.
the top photo shows the size difference in the 18 month old bird and adult.
heres a shot of him on the old stack from the year before.
Great photos from the cliff - hang on tight!
Nice, sharp photos. Hope you get even more good photo's from the boat.
Great shots, love those talons! Still waiting to see one.
Great photos! What a magnificent bird! Thanks for sharing!
