Anyone found a good spot to photograph lyrebirds? say around the queensland/nsw border region?
I did find some in the gibraltar range NP a while back was hoping for a little closer.

There have been Alberts Lyrebirds spotted just last week at O'Reillys. Three females in fact.
Got to be there very early for them though.
I was keen to back myself but couldn't get the time to do it.

OK thanks for the tip.
I have heard Albert's lyrebirds along the Border Track at O'Reillys whenever I have been there in summer.
To me, they sound a bit like dodgy Currawong imitators, but apparently that is their "own" call.

Ok thanks Timmo, have been in touch with NSW parks, not much help really.
they did say the roads are closed in Border ranges area for a few weeks.
will wait til the wet season ends.
