Last Monday in Chiltern I saw some Australian White Ibises, and between them one that mostly black upperparts. Arriving at the dam I saw a whole flock of these ibises. What kind of ibises are they?
Thanks!!

I would suggest the ones with the black are juvenile Straw-necked Ibis.

Thanks!!
The age of Straw-necked Ibis cannot possibly be determined from your photos, as all the birds are way too small. When the adults are in their non-breeding plumage, there is no distinct straw coloured plumes showing on their necks/chest areas. So they could be either young or old birds, or a combination of both.
Thanks!!
