I spent some time this morning trying to get some good shots of a Striated Pardalote that has been hanging around a particular tree which is in front of a Wattle which is in flower giving me a rich gold/yellow background.
It arrived and obliged me by doing what I had hoped but it also brought a fledgling. Unfortunately the fledgling doesn't look to be healthy at all, losing feathers and has a problem with its beak.
Parents.
Fledgling.
Good captures Reflex. Shame about the health of the fledgling but this is nature.

Nice photos of the parent - #2 is a beauty with that golden glow in the background that you were after. Hopefully the little one will overcome its problems and thrive.
Nice photos John. You are so lucky to have them at your place. Birds can be very resilliant so hopefully the young one will find a way to get around his deformities.
