Thanks Zosterops, HelloBirdy and TheBirdLover. Yes it is in Brisbane surbuban but we have a few acres untouched for the last 11 years. Surprised to see these birds today.

Wow, yes, it is quite amazing. I don't know about Queensland, but at least in my area, it is rare and something you might encounter high in the mountains in the bush, and I have also seen them at the coast in dense rainforesty areas. But then, again, you had a whipbird in your yard and I have the same impression regarding them. Your backyard must have some really good undisturbed habitat. Great work!

Hi Peter and Ryu,

My list has reached 50 different species of birds (captured by photos only). My wife asked me yesterday whether the list will grow to 60 before my coming 60th birthday (in a few weeks time). I said to her that I hope ro run a slideshow with 60 different birds i my birthday. I have seen many more birds with my eyes but unable to capture them in pictures when they either appear suddenly (that I have not time to react) or moving among leaves (and I am unable to get my camera to focus properly). Many thanks for lending me a hand in identifying them and guiding me on how to use bird field guide book.
