which kind of cuckoo? Pallid perhaps?
edited to reflect advice so far.
Not sure but I would say not Starling. Some sort of Cuckoo?
Thanks Rick,
I have never seen this bird before so it had me befuddled.
Do you think it might be the Black-eared Cuckoo?
Happy Birding!

I am leaning towards Pallid Cucoo, now
this is the second photo
Juv Fan tailed Cuckoo? It looks really dark and has a really short tail, that's confusing me!
Tegan - Melbourne Vic.
Where did you spot this cuckoo? I would probably also go with a juvenille Fan-Tailed Cuckoo, but I am not to sure.
M.M.
Looks like a juvenile Fan-tailed Cuckoo.
Sorry I should have given location...
Castlereagh NSW about 2kms from Nepean River, perched on young scrubbly gum that grows among the ti-tree
