This fella was with a large group of red browed finches.
I get a lot of Reddies in my yard, but I have never seen one this colour.

Hi Al, it is a naturally occuring colour mutation found among Red Browed Finchs in the wild. The red is replaced by yellow as you have seen. I wouldn't think its very common, well done.

these have also been bred selectively in captivity by breeders.
Let's hope those breeders keep their cage doors firmly closed!
