Hi
I need help with 3 birds
first 2 photos are of one bird i cannot seem to find similar identification on the site or in the bird book i have almost thought it could be a bowerbird? but does not have blue eyes so i am not sure.
3rd photo i cannot work out if it is a warbler or thornbill.
and last photo is this a swamp harrier? seen it grab a welcome swallow then letting go. if is in discription mentions they migrate to tasmania in summer?
all three birds are around Thirlmere lakes, NSW
Thanks
Some sort of cuckoo, some sort of scrubwren, some sort of bird-of-prey.
You're welcome ;-)

Thanks mate Fantailed Cuckoo and white-browed scrub wren funny as these 2 were moving together on the ground :D
i figured out the bird of prey just trying to confirm it is a swamp harrier.
Definetly juvenile fan-tailed cuckoo, white-browed scrubwren, and yes I think it is a swamp harrier.
Affirmative, Female Swamp Harrier.
Swamp Harrier's may migrate to Tasmania, Vic and s.SA to breed in Summer (Sept-Feb) according to my field guide (P&K - 9th ed.).
Ah i see i must have read it wrong in the guide... i swear i need better bird book then this crappy readers digest one lol
