Hi pigout, not great with mainland birds, but the 1st maybe Spectacled Monarch - orange/buff breast with grey back and wings, light patch behind and below the beak. Unfortunately the light isn't great to show the detail, but a bird I would love to see one day.
The second looks good for a Whtie-throated Treecreeper, speckled breast and underparts, light/white throat. Another great bird, and you have captured it well.
As I said, not my field and happy to be corrected, that's how I learn!
Hi pigout. I would agree with Dale. First is an immature Spectacled Monarch. It still has a partially dark bill and the markings on the face arn't as dark as an adult. The second I would also agree is White-throated Treecreeper. Looks to be a male as the female has an orange spot just below the cheek. Both species are common for Maleny area
You're welcome pigout. Can be confusing when starting out between the Spectacled and the Black-faced Monarchss. Grats on the lifer. You will start seeing them more and more now. Have you got any of the bird apps? I use Michael Morcombe guide to australian birds. It has their calls which really helps as well

Thanks, Devster. I probably should have picked the spectacled monarch, I've seen them once or twice before. The treecreeper is a new one for me.
