It was wonderful to see today a Diamond Firetail building a nest & a young Crested Shrike-tit chasing its parents at our place. With all the environmental destruction occurring it's a something of a relief to see that there are places where bird species on the brink of extinction in the Mt Lofty Ranges are still hanging on by the skin of their feathers.
They can thank you and your Ms Woko for providing great habitat. I would think it is very rewarding for your tireless work over the years. It is indeed good news you provide.

Thanks so much, Dale. Growing plants through Trees for Life then planting them was hard work for a number of years but the rewards have been constantly there with the increasing number of bird & other species of native animals. And it's been a wonderful education watching the ever-changing regenerating plant species in response to the weather patterns & other factors. We wouldn't have missed out on the experience for quids.
We can all learn from you, Woko. Wonderful news. Enjoy your Christmas season.
You too, Sue - & to all other Birds in Backyarders.
