NIce photos. You captured attitude in those shots. The males can be quite fiesty - they will hiss at passers by if they think you are getting to close to their female.
My bird book describes it as "mane" not a "mullet"!

Someone else called them a "Maned Duck" a few weeks ago and I didn't understand it at the time but now it makes perfect sense.
