Looked like a blue faced honey eater - had a green mask

I saw this bird outside our window this morning, feasting on our natives. It looked a lot like a blue faced honeyeater, but the colouring around its eyes was vivid, metallic green. I'm assuming it's a honeyeater, but I don't know what kind, however I'm sure someone here does!

Anything like this? An immature Blue-Faced Honeyeater.

A bit, but the green mask was iridescent in the same way that the blue mask is on the blue faced honeyeater. If the green bit was iridescent, I'd say yes.

Some immature Blue Faced Honeyeaters have an iridescent green mask so it probably is one.

I agree with Reflex's suggestion of an immature Blue-faced honeyeater - I suspect it will look iridescent as it starts to go blue.

Thanks heaps for that. You've been very helpful. And that does make sens. I'll keep an eye out and see if I can photograph it if I see it again. Our grevilleas and bottlebrushes are packed with flowers so there are a pile of birds enjoying them at the moment, and there's so much bird noise, particularly in the mornings and evenings, that it's just lovely.
