Hi Everyone,
I live between Penrith and Richmond in NSW. I am planting many native plants on our five acres. Some of our plants are heavy seed bearers such as the Hardenbergia, and the Indigofera Australis, I will be collecting seeds from both of these plants in the next few weeks. If anyone is interested in seed please let me know. I am happy to share.
I would urge caution about planting non-indigenous seeds in case the plants become invasive.

You are right about being careful not to create problems by growing these plants out of area, however their native area is quite large, and while both plants are prolific seeders that could become problematic in bushlnd where they are not indigenous they are both essential to the bird life in their indigenous locales.
hardenbergia and indigofera are both indigenous to the blue mountains and the cumberland plain, not sure where else but happy to fin out if anyone is interested.

Yes, their ranges are quite extensive, Wollemi. I have both species growing at my place on the s.e. slopes of the Mt Lofty Ranges, SA.
I'd love some of the Hardenbergia seeds, Wollemi. They're supposed to be indigenious to Tenterfield but I've never seen any.

No, Thank You, Wollemi. Its next to impossible to get indigenious species in town despite there being 3 nurseries in the area. Finding indigenious plants to get seeds from is even harder because of the lack of rain and poor seed quality the drought produces. So any indigenious plant seeds, from anywhere, are better than none at all, I reckon. Thank You again. You're welcome for the link too.
