A (I think) White-throated Nightjar enjoying a bit of sunlight.

Classic position for an Australian Owlet-nightjar to be seen: sunning itself at its entrance hole.
By the way, Reflex, what do you think has made the scratch marks around the perimeter of the hole?

Almost certainly, Reflex, but I'm wondering which one(s). Have you seen any other creatures using the box?
No sorry Woko this was the first time I've ever seen this box. It is at Osprey House, Dohles Rocks Road, Griffin on the northern side of Brisbane.

I'd suggest ringtail possums. Or perhaps gliders...
My "bird" boxes outside are inhabited by ringtailed possums and have those sorts of scratches all around the entrance hole.
