Emotions.

Most of the time we take photos to show a certain bird, determine what bird it is, what it eats, or where it lives. But from time to time you come across a bird that evokes strong emotions in you. Like this newly hatched Eurasian Coot. I found it sitting at the edge of a pond, staring down a steep drop. His mother was nowhere to be seen. I can feel the desperation and loneliness of the tiny bird.

Do you have photos that trigger some strong emotions? I’d love to see them.

Pond would be a big scary place when your little and all alone - hope Mum came back soon to rescue the little one.

Love his big feet!

Good thread Araminta!

Yes your little coot does look lonely.

For me this photo I have uploaded gives me strong feelings of peace and calm.

Thanks guys, some great examples there. Yes, there is something calming about ducks when they slowly glide through the water. Those three ducks are funny and make me laugh too. But the two Silver Gulls are so loving, make me dream...
