I have alway admired the photos on this forum. I just had to try it. After investing in equipment and time I have been having some good results I wish to share. This is my first post. We frequently holiday in a small village of Hat Head surounded by Hat Head National Park. Before taking to photography I was not even seeing the bird life simply because I was not looking for it. But it is there and plenty of it. This is only a small sample.
I would go as far as to say fantastic results Burchan!
I know exactly what you mean about not seeing the birds until you took up photography. I noticed the same and photographed my first Dollarbird on the week-end but realised at the same time that I had seen them before but it hadn't registered (if that makes sense).
I look forward to seeing some more of your photographs on here in future.

Welcome to the Photos forum and thanks so much for sharing your photos!
A mixed bag in variety of birds - but not in quality!
Love the composition in so many of your photos - especially the drongo framed by those banksia, and the WC honeyeater photo is an unusal composition but very effective.
Hope you will post some more.
Wonderful photos, look forward to seeing some more.
Great shots. I love the variety of birds you've captured with your lens! I especially like the Rainbow Bee Eater and Pheasant Coucal.
Great variety of birds and very nice pics!
Some of these are very shy & flighty like the Variegated Fairy-Wrens, the Bee-eaters & the Coucal.
Well done getting them.
I only got my first shot of a Variegated Fairy-Wren on the weekend and still yet to get one of the Coucal or the Wattle bird
