  Similar but I don't think so.  Here's a photograph of a Striped Honeyeater, have a  look at the upper chest markings.

Agree with Shorty, not a Pallid Cuckoo.

Your second shot of the Striped Honeyeater looks a good match for the first shot smiley

 Two things stand out as being different to me?

  • The beak on the SH is a different shape and colour. Shorter, more pointed (finch-like) and almost light blue tending black.
  • The SH has no upper chest markings whereas the first bird has.
  • And most importantly I already have a photograph of a SH.wink
