hi all, hope you are having a great Christmas break and enjoying some time with family, friends, and of course, the birds. Apologies for the single long line of text, my iPad won't allow me to create paragraphs! Anyways this week's theme is to celebrate the end of 2014 - the theme is 'ends'. I am interested to see what you all come up with.

Awesome shot Shorty. I'll have to come up with something different. Curious as to what focal length that is? I had a look at your Flickr page..good series with the Egret eating the frog. He did'nt have a hope of getting away.

Thanks, Rob. 500mm, the exif is on the flickr page under the photo.

The end of a sleep filled night for this Wompoo Pigeon or Bubbly-Jock and time to wake up!
Samford Valley Qld.
This Eastern Reef Egret is relaxing by the pool at the end of a long year...
Southern Emu-wren... the last bird at the end of a 3 month trip.
If my photos had been better then I would add the Citrine Wagtail as the last bird at the end of a 5 week trip!
Wishing all a happy and healthy New Year with many birding highlights. Sue
Looks like I will have to take a leaf out of Shorty's book. A friar bird getting an evening meal.Thats the "end" of this cicada. I could'nt see what it was until I processed the image. Also heavily cropped as I only have a 200mm lens.

That is one fat juicy frog that Heron caught for dinner!
How about these Tawny Frogmouths (Juvi & Adult), practicing their matching bookend poses?
