I visited a friends property in the Wollemi NP recently. What a beatiful place and a great variety of birdlife. I saw the Bell Miner, Gang-gang Cockatoo, King Parrot, Crimson Rosella, Superb Fairy-wren, Variegated Fairy-wren, Rainbow Bee-eater, Eastern Yellow Robin, Willy Wagtail, Satin Bowerbird, Lewin's Honeyeater, Silvereye, Dollarbird and of course a few which I'm having trouble identifying!
Photos 1, 2 & 3 - I expect they are female and/or young Fairy-wren's but not certain (I didn't see the male in this tree).
Photos 4 & 5 - Brush Cuckoo maybe?
Photos 6, 7, 8 & 9 - I think this is a female Satin Bowerbird trying to move a Olive-backed Oriole along.
Photos 10,11 & 12 - Grey-shrike Thrush or maybe the Cuckoo?
Photo 13 - Again I expect this is a female or young Fairy-wren (I did see both the male Superb Fairy-wren and the male Variegated Fairy-wren nearby)
Photo 14 - maybe Cuckoo again?
Photo 15, 16 & 17 - Brush Cuckoo again maybe?
Thanks
Chad
I think you are correct in your assumptions on all counts. Definitely Grey-Shrike Thrush here.
Although 14 and 15 are difficult to identify definitively.

Thanks Dave
No problem
Also, the fact that no.14 has a grey-fantail about to harrass it, also leads me to believe it is a cuckoo.

I didn't even notice that fantail until you mentioned it!
15 looks like one of the Goshawks. Not sure which one though...
Double post.
