Rainbow Lorikeets very common around SE Qld. These birds are thought to mate for life (like most parrots) .

Here's my favourite Duo. The Kookaburra & Willie Wagtail.
I'm convinced that Willie wagtails aren't afraid of any other bird.
A pair of Dollarbirds...plenty at my place at the moment but they're not keen on having their photograph taken.

An unusual photograph from last year. A flock of Blue-faced Honeyeaters decided to land right next to a Black-Shouldered Kite that was busy devouring something. As you can see the Kite was not impressed at all. The Honeyeaters only stayed for a few minutes and then left the Kite in peace.

Mum and dad exhausted from watching their baby in training run in energetic circles all day! I don't know about any of you but this is the only time I've ever seen a wagtail calm down and roost outside of the nest.
